Simple Transport uses Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Messages, SMS, email, website forms and other communication channels to provide customer service for our delivery, rubbish removal and green waste removal services.
This page explains how you can request deletion of personal information that Simple Transport holds about you.

What data we may store
Depending on how you contact us or use our services, we may store information such as:
your name;
phone number;
email address;
Facebook or Instagram name;
Facebook or Instagram profile ID or platform identifier;
the content of messages you send us;
photos, images or attachments you send us;
timestamps of messages and replies;
pickup address;
drop-off address;
job details;
quote details;
booking details;
payment status or invoice information;
complaint, dispute or feedback information;
AI-assisted reply corrections or training data linked to your conversations;
technical or website information, such as cookies, analytics data or marketing attribution data.
We use this information to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, manage bookings, assign jobs to contractors, send service updates, process payments, improve customer service and comply with legal obligations.
Automatic deletion
Simple Transport generally deletes customer messages and operational conversation records 30 days after the job is completed, unless we need to keep them longer for a valid reason.
Customer-supplied job photos and images are generally deleted approximately 30 days after upload, unless they are needed longer for a complaint, dispute, safety issue, payment issue, legal obligation, insurance matter or another legitimate business reason.

In your email, please include enough information for us to identify the data you want deleted, such as:
your full name;
your phone number or email address used with the enquiry or booking;
the platform you contacted us through, such as Facebook, Instagram, SMS, email or website form;
your Facebook or Instagram name, if relevant;
the page or account you messaged, if relevant;
the approximate date of your enquiry, message or booking;
whether your request relates to messages, booking details, photos/images, AI training data, or all personal information we are able to delete.
We may ask for more information to verify your identity before deleting data. This helps us make sure we do not delete information connected to the wrong person.
What happens after we receive your request
After receiving your request, we will review the information we hold and delete or de-identify personal information we are no longer required to keep.
We will action deletion requests as soon as reasonably practical, usually within 30 days.
We will reply to your email to confirm when your request has been completed, or to explain if there is information we cannot delete.
For cookies and similar browser-based tracking data, you can usually clear or block these through your browser settings without contacting us.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
Information we may need to keep
In some cases, we may not be able to delete all information immediately.
We may need to keep certain information for legal, tax, accounting, payment, safety, complaint, dispute, insurance, fraud prevention, business record or regulatory reasons.
This may include records such as:
invoices;
receipts;
payment records;
accounting and tax records;
booking records needed for business records;
complaint or dispute records;
safety, damage or incident records;
records required by law.
Where we need to keep certain records, we will only keep the information for as long as reasonably necessary or legally required.
Data held by third-party services
Some information about your interactions may also be held by third-party services we use, such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger), Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps), OpenAI (AI service provider), Twilio (SMS), Square (payments), Supabase (database), Google Cloud Storage (image and file storage), Squarespace (website) and similar providers.
When you ask us to delete your data, we will delete the information we hold.
To request deletion of data held directly by a third party, you may also need to contact that provider or use their own account settings, privacy controls or deletion tools.
Facebook, Instagram and Meta data
If you interacted with Simple Transport through Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or another Meta platform, you can request deletion of the data we received and stored from that interaction by emailing info@simpletransport.com.au.
Please include your Facebook or Instagram name, the account or page you messaged, and the approximate date of contact so we can locate the relevant data.
